Day 4 at the festival

Today is going to be our last day at the festival Inspinazie.
We will be attending to Wade´s workshop at the afternoon and the show tonight.

This has been a really good experience for me and I am really happy that I came here.
The whole picture about the festival is just now starting to get clear to me. The organization, groups, city....

I allso like the city. Everybody seems to be really friendly and helpfull. And I love these old houses as well!

The biggest suprise was that this festivall Inspinazie is totally beeing produced by the group Inspinazie. They are handeling everything by themselves. (bookings, money...everything).
Yet everything has been done really professionally.
How do they manage to do improv at the festival as well??? (they must have lots of extra energy or something).

I know that is a big, big thing to do so I can´t do anything else but say thank you and welldone!

Thanks to everybody that has been helping me with my presentation. And thanks to the people who have given me some time and telling me about their own groups etc.

I will still be writting this blog today if I´ll find a internet connection somewhere. Today we are checking out of our hostell...and there goes the internet as well.

Ei otsikkoa

Everybody is starting to feel safe and know each other so well, that you can litterally see it on stage as well.
Yesterdays show was REALLY good. We saw the Inspinazie and Improv Bandits tokether on stage at first. Then the Finnish group had their own long show.

You can really see that the actors are having fun on the stage and they are playing tokether...not against each other. I understood that it is a missio of the Inspinazie group to get everybody work tokether.
And the result seems to be really good.

Today has been a day off for the groups. I hope that everybody enjoyed their day off!

Day 2 at the festival

Today was a good day.
We went to see a workshop by Wade Jackson from the Improv Bandits, N-Z.

The workshop was really good and I got lots of new things to think about.

For more info about the Improv Bandits, you can visit their website at http://www.improvbandits.co.nz/

THE SHOW

There is going to be a big show every night during the festival.
The show was all about the ladies. (wich was nice).
The French and New-Zealanders were performing on the stage. After them the Inspinazie had their own show. I really enjoyed the hole show.

Day 1 at the festival Inspinazie

Day 1

We arrived to the beautifull city of Leuven from Helsinki, Finland yesterday  (29th of march) to join the Imrovisation festival Inspinazie.

I will be making a presentation about the festival for my shool, Polytecnic University in Helsinki and will be reporting here at the festival every day basis about how things go and what interesting things are happening at the festival.

When we arrived to the festival, we had a warm welcome from the members of Inspinazie and got introduced to all of the members of international part of the festival.

We allso had a change to take part of a welcoming workshop. As the Finnish improvisation group Stjärnfall arrived today, the international groups had now a chance to get introduced with each other and get into smaller grups for tonights show in the theatre wich will be the grand opening of the international part of the festival Inspinazie.

There are 3 inernational groups attending the festival: Thèatre de´Oignon from France, The Improv Bandits from New Zealand and Finnish group Tjärnfall. The Inspinazie group will also be performing with the international groups on the stage.

The festival seems to offer great opportunities for international teams to learn from each other and make networks all around the world.

For a theatre producer as me, this is a good way to learn how to make different kinds of theatre groups and teams to work with each other. Here at the Inspinaze festival, the main goal seems to be not to make groups ”fight” against each other, but to work as a team to make even better theatre and make team spirit rise and actors learn and experience more.

THE SHOW, the kick off

At the first international show all the actors were performing on stage.
The athmosphere was good from the beginning to the end of the show. I really enjoyed waching different nationalities playing tokether. And so did the rest of the audience as well.
I am reaally much looking forward to see rest of the shows during the festival.
